C3I among the panelists of the distinguished Law Tech Europe Congress 2016 in Brussels
Guided by the mission to create a cutting edge forum that addresses four core areas: digital evidence, forensic investigations, data analytics and cyber security, INsig2 LawTech Europe Congress was held on 7th and 8th November 2016 in Management Centre Europe in Brussels, Belgium. Within the panel dedicated to National Security, Law Enforcement, Personal Data Privacy, Apples and Pears – What is on the Horizon?, the issue was addressed by the President of C3I Ljubica Pendaroska, sharing reflections on the relationship between the individual right to privacy and national security as collective right. She stressed the importance of the awareness for the proactive role and individual responsibility, the need individuals to understand what and how individual rights will be provided by the state, depend on the individuals themselves and how capable they are to fight for their rights! Accordingly, the responsibility of individuals for their right to privacy, but also for national security!
The Congress which took place for the fifth time, was attended by more than 70 speakers and panelists from Europe and worldwide, including the President of Eurojust, university professors, permanent representatives to the European Union and representatives from highly respected technical, computer and consulting companies. A post-event Press Release that highlights speakers’ insights will be published and distributed online as well.
The Congress was an opportunity to present the idea and activities of C3I so far, and to create a contact for development of future cooperation potentials.
