C3I at GLOBSEC Policy Institute “Countering Information War – Lessons Learned from NATO and Partner Countries” Expert Workshop
The NATO Science for Peace and Security Expert Workshop titled “Countering Information War – Lessons Learned from NATO and Partner Countries” took place in Bratislava, Slovakia, in the period of 28 November 2016 to 29 November 2016. The Workshop, as part of the project, was organized by GLOBEC Policy Institute in cooperation with Information Centre for NATO and EU and the NATO Liaison Office in Tbilisi. The expert workshop in Bratislava brings together up to 60 high-level speakers and other experts from NATO member and partner countries.The overall goal of the project is to collect and systematize knowledge which has been gained by NATO member and partner countries during the recent employments of information warfare. This effort will result in the development of a set of policy recommendations for decision-makers in NATO member and partner countries, as well as the NATO staff in Brussels.
The President of Cyber Security, Corporate Security and Crisis Management Initiative – C3I Macedonia, was pleased to share expert opinion and to led the session dedicated to “Use of Automated Systems, Bots and Software in Information Warfare”, with distinguished speakers Miriam Lexmann, Director of the EU Office, International Republican Institute and Philip N. Howard, Author, Professor at Oxford University.
Among the others, the President of C3I have to honor to represent the Initiative and its activities to Mark Laity, Chief of STRATCOM at SHAPE, NATO Brussels.
