How to enhance a Human rights-based approach to SSR in the age of digitalization, mas-surveillance, and geostrategic competition? And how to Reconcile the Parliamentary Oversight with the Civilian Oversight over Intelligence and Security?

Partnering with DCAF, Cyber security corporate security and crisis management initiative, led by D-r Metodi Hadji-Janev from 26-28 April 2023 in Macedonian pearl Ohrid, was able to conduct a rare but very successful and unique two and half days WS aimed at building trust and capacities among Media, CSO and members of the Parliament, through lectures and customized scenario-based TTX. This Multi-Stakeholder Workshop titled “Reconciling the Parliamentary Oversight with the Civilian Oversight over Intelligence and Security”, gathered over 15 members of the parliament and 15 members from Macedonian CSOs and Media.

Thanks to the great professionalism and agility of the Macedonian MPs, CSO, and Media, C3I was able to conduct two lectures and two customized scenario-based TTX.

This is the fourth intervention led by C3I as a part of the DCAF lead project aimed to reform the intelligence and security sector reform.
