Successful Completion of the First LTTA Activity within the Project “Public-NGO Cooperation in Combating Addiction in Times of Crisis and Disaster”
From April 25 to 30, 2025, representatives of C3I participated in the first LTTA (Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity) of the Erasmus+ project “Joining Forces Against Addiction: Public-NGO Partnership in Battle”, held in Eskişehir, Türkiye.
The Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services hosted the event, which included partner organisations such as Sirius—Centre for Psychological Counselling, Education and Research from Croatia and the Kırıkkale Governorship—EU and Foreign Relations Office.
The program consisted of six training days and visits, including workshops, info sessions, practical activities, and visits to relevant institutions in addiction prevention and rehabilitation. Among the visited institutions were YEDAM (Addiction Counselling Centre) and Huzurköy (Peace Village). Participants also had the opportunity to visit the cities of Eskişehir and Bursa, where they were introduced to good practices in cooperation between public institutions and the NGO sector.
The activities aimed to enhance knowledge and skills in addressing addiction-related issues, particularly by promoting public–civil cooperation and analysing early warning mechanisms during crises and disasters.
As part of the visit, the partner organisations presented their projects and activities to the Mayor of Eskisehir and representatives of several public and civil sector institutions, which contributed to strengthening opportunities for future cooperation and joint initiatives.
The next LTTA activity will take place in Macedonia, organised by C3I, where participants will gain knowledge and practical skills in Crisis Management, Leadership, Conflict Resolution, as well as training in creating concept maps and infographics. As part of the training, six thematic infographics related to the project’s goals will be developed and later used for broader public education and awareness-raising.
