Training activity – Strengthening civilian oversight of intelligence and security, part of the DCAF’s Intelligence and Security Sector Reform Programme in the Republic of North Macedonia (2021-2026)

The C3I’s led project Capacity Building Process of the CSOs and Media in North Macedonia” in providing oversight of intelligence and security sector reforms enabled by @DCAF – Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance as a part of the DCAF’s Intelligence and Security Sector Reform Programme in the Republic of North Macedonia (2021-2026) is approaching to a pivotal moment in strengthening civilian oversight of intelligence and security!

Our final training session marks the culmination of our yearlong efforts in developing standardized guidelines for civilian organizations and media to oversee intelligence and security sectors effectively.

Civil advocates and media professionals delved into empowering strategies to ensure transparency, accountability, and safeguarding civil liberties in the age of digitalization and emerging technologies. Through a collaborative effort with the great team from the @DCAF Office in Skopje that gave valuable framework and guidance throughout the year, we paved the way for robust oversight mechanisms that uphold democratic principles and protect the rights of all citizens.
