Project activities by the EC – Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO)

From April to November 2019, the C3Initiative team has accomplished a project designed to collect and process data for the seeKMS platform that was a part of the outputs of the IPA DRAM (Programme for Disaster Risk Assessment and Mapping). This project was financed by the European Commission – Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).

The consortium for the project was:

  • Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) as COORDINATOR;
  • Italian Civil Protection Department (DPC);
  • Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (ACPDR);
  • National Protection, Rescue Directorate of the Republic of Croatia (DUZS);
  • International Centre on Environmental Monitoring (CIMA Research Foundation).

The goal of the project is to increase beneficiaries’ capabilities to ensure proper disaster risk management at national, regional and EU levels.

C3Initiative team has accomplished the following activities as a part of the project:
  • Conceptualize and conduct a survey on the use and need for upgrades of seeKMS platform http://seekms.dppi.info/,
  • Update the content (documents and project sessions) of the seeKMS platform,
  • Create a summary of the survey results and recommendations for improvement of the seeKMS platform
